If you think Taco Bell or Pepe's serve real Mexican food, one trip to Atotonilco's will change your mind the second you enter the restaurant. The place is not fancy, but the food is EXCELLENT! During my undergrad years at the University of Chicago, I would take the bus in the dead of winter, sometimes at midnight, just to have a 'taco de pastor' and an 'agua de horchata'. This food is addictive, and now that I live in Maine, I look forward to alumni week to make my annual trip to my favorite Mexican restaurant.
